• The Experience Cipher

  Some words I have previously posted to tumblr:

  Were there no potentials for misunderstanding…, there would be no experience ~

  Wisdom is encoded in the cipher of experience ~

  Therefore wisdom is encoded in the potential for experience (meaning misunderstanding/differences) ~

  One could watch events unfold and simply let them pass by or one could decipher the wisdom out of every experience. Everything that happens is the result of the buildup of a potential situation to the critical point of it happening. One person could see the same everyday/mundane activity being performed and see much wisdom come out of it while another would simply remain blind to it. We learn to decipher this code when we are ready for it. Thus all wisdom is already indirectly accessible to us via the experiences we have in our lives yet we need to decipher these messages to get their meaning. This post is basically the same idea as my earlier post titled Layers of Meaning (here) but explained in a different and simpler way ~

  I hate to break it to ya, but the Lorenz Attractor has nothing to do with consciousness or why it exists :P  It also has nothing to do with a moebius strip. A moebius strip is a one sided two dimensional surface in three dimensional space. This graph is not a surface but it is simply a three dimensional line graph of a system of three non-linear differential equations. What makes a moebius strip special is the fact that it is a loop that only has one side. The lorenz attractor is not a loop and never repeats itself and never returns to it’s starting point ~

  While Chaos Theory may or may not have something to do with consciousness, the Lorenz Attractor is simply a mathematical model for a simple rotating water bucket system, measuring three different variables and graphing the results in the above image ~

  What is amazing about this? It is an extremely simple system of 3 non-linear differential equations yet it exhibits chaos. I recommend the book by James Gleick called Chaos ~

  which the Lorenz attractor falls under, and I shouldn’t have said consciousness, as I meant to merely address how this visually models human behavior, which I shouldn’t confuse with consciousness.

  Also, I now know I shouldn’t thoughtdump on Tumblr so often when in altered states of consciousness. Though really I should edit stuff more in general. I’m working on it, in particular my thoughts on how hierarchy begets a new opportunity for a collective raising of consciousness as how identitarianism is preventing this, and yet also how some identitarianism is the manifestation of more inherent structures/mechanisms of being an organism that can’t be ignored if one hopes to transcend them, and instead they must be addressed head-on to develop ways to challenge our own limitations. It’s been a long time coming.

  Don’t be ashamed. It doesn’t matter whether your comments were full of shit or not. It is completely understandable to make generalized statements about things. You should thought dump — otherwise we would have never had the experience of this exchange and neither of us would have been the wiser. Creative people are never scared of being wrong or making a mistake. Making mistakes is part of the process ~

  Chaos Theory does relate to the phenomenon of consciousness (in my own opinion, but I have yet discover in exactly what way.. beyond philosophical implications) but it doesn’t give rise to it, it is simply a human made theory. However, the Lorenz attractor has nothing to do with this, it is simply a mathematical model for a specific dynamical system relating to convection. It is basically a symbol for chaos theory because it is what has given rise to it ~

  Just picked up this nice little toy: Do you see that little flash drive looking thing? That is a tiny 24bit audio interface + 1gb flash drive! I thought it would be funny to place it on top of my professional Delta 1010 audio interface for comparison. Nice package, very nice, this will be useful for my laptop when I need extra ADC/DAC on the go ~
